Children
Whether it be worship at "Praise Park" or study and activities in our "Agape Oasis" or "Creation Station," we believe that little hearts will draw closer to the heart of Jesus as they learn of Him, live like Him, and ultimately, go out and share about Him.
Kid-centered, Friendly Interactive Learning Experience with Crafts, Bible Study, Games, Scripture Memory and much, much more are provided in a safe, fun and active classrooms.
Special events include Vacation Bible School, Wednesday night meetings and holiday celebrations help to provided a well-rounded ministry for children.
Mentoring and Tutoring Program
We are in partnership with East Whittier City schools to provide quality tutoring and mentoring program for grades 3rd - 5th.

Purpose of the Children's Center
For as much as Jesus said, "Let the children come to me..." The purpose of the Children's Center of the East Whittier United Methodist Church is to provide meaningful experiences for children to grow and develop in a warm and loving social climate, including emphasis on Christian teachings.
Objectives of the Children's Center
▪Provide a safe, nurturing environment in which a child is able to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
▪Enrich the children's world through the creative arts, music, stories, books, nature, and science.
▪Insure that the children's insatiable curiosity remains alive, encouraging them to explore, investigate, learn, and to think independently.
▪Provide specially designed toys and equipment to encourage development of large and small muscles.
▪Provide the opportunity for parental involvement with their children's' learning and development through many activities.
▪Foster Christian development through Bible stories, Chapel, and other related activities.
For nearly fifty years, the EWUMC Children's Center has provided a caring, safe, nurturing environment for children in this community.
